Harsh Reality: Scouts Outdoor Camp '09.

It's been almost a month since SMK Seafield 104 Scouts Troop's First Outdoor Camp. I miss the fun times at camp. ):

DAY # 1.

Left school at around 8 am for Dusun Eco Resort, Pahang.
Tried to catch some sleep in the bus, but Yee Lei made it hard for us so we ended up talking and laughing throughout the journey to Dusun Eco Resort.

.. and Wei Qin did the same! Both guys sacrificed their seats for Steng to sleep. Tsk tsk.

Well, and guess what? We needa climb these staircases up to our campsite, and there were another 2 more flights of stairs after this one. Imagine how tired we were with our bags.

After lunch, we set off for rappelling! And here we were staring at the rappelling tower. And I bumped my knee on the wall of the tower and my knee was blue-black. =="

Went back to the campsite to shower and have dinner.
Then, we had lessons for our Jaya Diri badge exams the next day.
Here's the funny part: A cockroach landed on Wen Min's hand, causing her to scream and accidentally throw her hardcover log book and it hit Denise's head. OUCH! According to Xia Shuen, it was like watching a movie cause she was sitting in front. XD
We heard a creepy "quack" sound from the trees and we were all freaked out.

Studied till 12 am, then went back to our respective tents and called it a night.
Since my tent was right beside the guys' (Justin, Wei Qin, Guo Hao, Kelvin, Wen Hao) tent, we could hear them laughing and talking loudly. They were given warning to keep quiet and sleep, but they ignored.
Thus, the guys got punished by Dhaneesh, except for Wen Hao who was ill. Bwahahaha.

DAY # 2.

Woke up at 6 am cause my patrol was the patrol on duty. And I was soooo sleepy. Hahah. Anyways, washed up and report in to Xia Shuen.
Got breakfast from the cafeteria ALL THE WAY downstairs. Good exercise actually.
Had morning inspection after breakfast, and boy, we had to lay EVERY SINGLE THING down on our sleeping bag. Fun.
After breakfast, assemble at the cafeteria to wait for our guide for jungle trekking. We were given numbers cause we cant call each other by names in the jungle.
We found out from the guide that the weird "quack" noise we heard was from some very small insect. A very small insect that produced a loud "quack" noise which freaked most of us out. =="

Jungle trekking was F-U-N !!! We jungle trekked about 3 kilometers in 3 hours. LOL!
The river water was refreshing and cold.
My track bottoms and sport shoes were soaked wet at the end of jungle trekking.
After lunch, we were divided into two groups. One group was at the swimming pool, another had to cross the suspension bridge.
My group had to cross the suspension bridge for flying fox. But we didn't manage to do it cause it'll take a looooong time. ):
So we went back to the swimming pool and joined the rest of them. Had heaps of fun! :D

104. XD

After having fun in the pool, we were brought somewhere else for rafting. We were divided into four groups.
We had to build our own raft from bamboo within half an hour.
Then, we'll have a relay against the four group. But I didn't manage to participate cause our knots weren't tight, thus out raft fell apart. XD
We went back to our campsite, showered and revised for our Jaya Diri badge exam after dinner.
Poor Wen Min had diarrhea, she had to go to the toilet right before our exam, so I accompanied her.
After our exam, we had MK (Malam Kebudayaan / Cultural Night). Lotsa fun!
It rained, too. ):
Right after MK was over, Denise, Zhen Ni, Johanna and I went back to our tent and zonked out. Steng and Wen Min slept at our tent cause their tent was "flooded" due to the rain.

DAY # 3.

Woke up at 6 am to different alarm ringtones, and snoozed till 6.30 am since it was FREEZING due to the rain last night.
Washed up and did some jogging.
Didn't managed to jog due to my recent knee injury. ):
The pain on my knee was excruciating, till I had to rest. ):
Didn't manage to do morning inspection. ):
Packed up, clean up the campsite and had closing ceremony. 'Grats to those who won the awards. (:
Our Togepis and Pikachus were revealed. Julia is my Togepi, and Xia Shin was my Pikachu. Hahahahah.
HAD PHOTO SESSION. YAY! :D
Checked for signals right after we got onto the bus.
Planned to sleep throughout the journey home, then changed my mind when we stopped by McD's for lunch.
We were all hyped up after lunch. And gosh, Yee Lei and Steng laughed and laughed like nobody's business. XD
