Impossible is nothing.

... My pace steadied as I picked up my speed. I can see others whizzing by quickly, but I kept to my own pace. One of my best friends once told me: "Keep to your own pace. Do not follow other's pace. You know your own capability". So I set myself on a challenge to finish up 10 laps around the track.

While I was jogging on my seventh lap, I start to feel the exhaustion. I felt tired and I wanted a drink badly, as though I was dying of thirst: I just wanted a break. But I disagreed and continued. I know if I'd stopped, I won't be able to jog at the same pace again. And I have a strong determination to finish 10 laps by 40 minutes.

After my ninth lap, I checked my stopwatch: 33'44" . I sped up. I know I can do it. I imagined myself during Merentas Desa, passing by the USJ 2 primary school gate, the school field, and turning into the road where the school gate is just about another 100 meters or so away from me. I sprinted along the track. I know I can make it.

At the last turn of the track, curious heads turned towards my direction as I darted towards the finish line. Took my timing: 35'55" for 4 km. I know that some can do better than me, but to me, it's victory. It's an achievement. MY achievement. "YES!", I cheered in my heart. Finally I scooped my bottle up from the seat and down half the bottle of water. Mmmm, it sure feels good down my throat.

I know that I may not be the best, but I've made a great achievement for myself. Impossible is nothing.
