Pick It Up! (:

The moment Jasmine announced that Team 5 were coming up next, my palms were clammy and cold. Suddenly the atmosphere tensed, and I found myself running through the script with Jon Ho, Nasheel, Charmaine, Steng and Wei Yng. 

Not long after that, we were already lined up and all prepped up. And as we took our places on stage, I felt like as though my knees are gonna give in. Perspiration ran down my forehead, and my hands are getting clammier. And as we started off, I gave my very best till we finished our performance.

As the we were all having short performances, laughing and chatting away, I noticed one of the judges heading towards the front of the hall. All of a sudden, the hall was in pin drop silence. SMK USJ 4 was announced as the first runner-up, and soon, we all held hands and kept our hopes high. 

"And the champions, are (looooooong pause)  PICK IT UP!"  

* I don't really remember the exactly what she said, but it was something like that.*

We all jumped off our chairs and stools and rejoiced! Our hard work and extra practices paid off! We continued jumping, screaming, rejoicing and hugging each other till we were asked to be present on stage again to perform our winning poem. JOY OH JOY!
